Château
LAFARGUE

Pessac-Léognan Rouge

Château Lafargue is a family estate managed by Jean-Pierre Leymarie, from the third generation, who was even born on the estate.
Vegetable farmer when he started out, Jean-Pierre succeeded his father in 1983 and became head of the whole estate that included 2 ha of vines. He started to focus on viticulture and therefore, started to buy new plots, planted new vines and invested gradually in equipment and buildings, thus consistently developing the vineyard.
In June 2015, the property received the “High Environmental Value” certification (HVE), which corresponds to the highest level of a more general scheme of environmental certification for farms.
