Château de JAYLE


A family story which started in 1840 in the Château de Jayle.
Situated in the village of Saint Martin de Cescas, a stone's throw away from the medieval city of Saint Macaire, and 50km from Bordeaux, its has been handed down over five generations, which gave birth to the Château les Ancres and Champs de Lucas, producing wine over 68ha in the Bordeaux et Côtes de Bordeaux appellation.

Vintages for sale

The 2010 red Chateau de Jayle Barrique vintage, compsed of 95% Cabernet-Sauvignon and 5% Merlot, matured in oak casks for eight months, has a deep colour, notes of ripe blackcurrent ad spice. A delicious wine with a lovely structure and a good length on palate.

The 2014 dry white Côtes de Bordeaux Saint Macaire vintage, matured in acacia casks for six months, is made from 70% Sauvignon and 30% Sémillion.
It is characterised by notes of almond and lemon, a lovely gold colour and is ample and round on palate.

The classic and appealing 2015 dry white Plaisir Fruité, Côtes de Bordeaux Saint Macaire, 100% Sauvignon, matured in stainless steel vats, has dominant notes of fresh fruit and is round and fine.
